Truc Lam zen monastery in Tien Giang- Vietnam
Truc Lam Zen Monastery is located at village 1, Thanh Tan Commune, Tan Phuoc District, Tien Giang Province. In order to visit Truc Lam Zen Monastery from Tien Giang Centre, you must drive from Trung Luong T-junction along National Highway No.1 to westward 6km. Arriving at Long Dinh, you keep driving to My Phuoc Town, Tan Phuoc District. After that, you drive more 10km before reaching the temple. It is convenient to travel to the temple, as there are road signs to head you there.
Truc lam Zen Monastery was built in April 28/2012. The construction was built as typical architecture of Yen Tu Zen Monastery School of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
The construction got a great support from local Buddhists. Originally, the temple was built on only an area 30ha. Later on, the area was extended to be 50 ha which is dedicated by the locals and Buddhists. Besides that, Buddhists dedicated many large ficus tree to the temple. Especially, a hug marble Buddha statue with a heigh of 4,5m and weigh of 30 tons was also dedicated by the locals and Buddhists.
Truc lam Zen Monastery becomes popular tourist spot and attracts many young tourists traveling to Tien Giang
