High Desert Mountain Pass in the Cascades
I recently took a road trip to Bend, Oregon, which is about three and a half hours from where I live in Vancouver, Washington. I took some cool pics on the way home, through the mountain pass, but I was mostly impressed by how different the landscape changed from the arid high plains desert to the lush forested Western side of the pass, as we drove toward the valley on the other side. Both environments have their own endearing qualities that are beautiful in their own right, but it’s the contrasting colors and mood that made the trip so special for me.
