Moldova Wine Day Festival
Wine Day (Ziua Vinului) is a unique holiday celebrated by Moldovans. Chisinau becomes a checkpoint for every wine lover. Each Moldovan winery (Purcari, Milestii Mici, CARPE DIEM , Gogu Winery, Mimi, Chateau Vartely, Bostovan, Radacini etc ) invites you with a special entertainment. From a personal recommendation, you need to taste: Negru de Purcari, CARPE DIEM - Breaking Red, Château Vartely Ice Wine.
If you are looking for something different, I recommend you to visit the Moldovan villages (Butuceni, Trebujeni, Palanca); the owner of the house will invite you to visit the central point of his gospadarie (household) - the cellar. He will serve you a glass of wine from the barrel and will invite you to Casa Mare (the Great House) for a meal.
