Get picked from your hotel in Delhi (in air conditioning car). Embark on a 3 hour drive from Delhi to Agra via Yamuna Expressway. Enjoy the beautiful view from your air conditioning car. Stop at mid-way for having coffee/tea or for using the lavatory.
Be welcome by your local tour guide and proceed to Taj Mahal.
Explore the Taj Mahal with your local guide and he will give you a detailed explanation about this temple of love which was built by fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to get completed by the labour of 20 thousand artisans from Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Taj is the finest example of Indo-Islamic art.
Next stop at marble inlay factory where you will be introduced with the descendants of those workers who worked in the Taj Mahal. The art known as inlay work of semi-precious stones.
Proceed to the Fatepur Sikri which is 37 km from Agra.
It was built by the Mughal Emperor Jalal-ud-din Mohammad Akbar, in honour of the great Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. its magnificence and uniqueness offers a fine example of the emperor's architectural finesse.
